A standard operating procedure explains how work should happen. Training needs to help a person understand when to follow it, what decisions to make and how to recognise an error. Docs to Training gives authors a way to build that learning experience while retaining references to the source material.
How the workflow works
Start with a supported PDF, DOCX, PPTX or text document. Check extraction coverage, choose the learner’s task and approve an outline. Keep the scope manageable: a procedure with several responsibilities may need separate lessons for different roles. An author still decides what the learner needs and whether the source is authoritative.
Build supported lesson blocks and questions around the procedure. Explain the sequence, clarify unfamiliar terms and review exceptions with a subject-matter expert. Source anchors let reviewers inspect the exact evidence behind source-grounded content. They help make a review concrete; they are not a substitute for operational, safety or legal approval.
Procedures change. The source-update workflow prepares reviewable proposals against existing content, helping protect an author’s edits while showing what needs attention. Resolve uncertain mappings and changed assessments before publication. A reviewer should check both whether the lesson reflects the new procedure and whether the questions still have valid answers.
Keep a deliverable you can maintain
Preview the learner experience, publish an approved snapshot and retain an editable project archive. The local build can prepare SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 4th Edition and standalone packages. Validate completion, score and resume behaviour in the destination LMS before rollout. This beta shows original fictional material and a local product workflow, with broader external validation still open.
Questions about this workflow
Does this certify compliance?
No. Creating a course or exporting SCORM does not certify a procedure, employee or organisation. Your organisation owns the content review and approval decision.
Is AI built into this preview?
The homepage demo is deterministic and browser-only, with no uploads or model calls. The separate authoring beta has active AI outline and lesson drafting verified with synthetic documents; external MCP chat is separate. Live charging is disabled; sandbox checkout is for testing only. Real owner recovery is still unverified.
Can changes publish automatically?
Treat updates as proposals for review. Authors resolve evidence and assessment issues and approve publication; source changes should not silently replace authored training.
